Full Job Description
To start September 2026
At Lingfield College we have an exciting opportunity for an innovative teacher who can teach Art to A level. A level Photography teaching experience would be desirable. Skilled artists who are not qualified teachers are also welcome to apply if they have previous teaching experience.
The Art Department is a creative and collaborative environment with contemporary bright studios where students can explore, experiment, work together and innovate. Our teachers are practicing artists and students are exposed to a range of visual sources, artists and movements, giving them greater context and inspiration for the work they produce. The successful candidate will show the potential to be an outstanding classroom practitioner, have the ability to instil a passion for their subject, and play a full and active role in all aspects of school life at Lingfield. You will be a self-reflective professional who is capable of working independently and as part of a team.
The Senior School has excellent facilities, and we have small classes to enable focus on individual students. A Level, BTEC and GCSE results are consistently excellent, enabling most students to gain their first choice of university.
We are committed to ongoing personal development, and with management training and sponsored learning programmes, we can help you to achieve your professional goals.
The extra-curricular programme at Lingfield is exciting and extensive and all teachers are expected to contribute to it. Applications are equally welcomed from early careers and experienced teachers from both the state and independent sectors.
This role is available on a full-time basis as maternity cover for one year.
Closing date 9am, Wednesday 13 May 2026.
Interviews planned for week commencing 18 May 2026.
Lingfield College is committed to safeguarding our children. The successful candidate will be required to provide an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service, and a Disqualification by Association declaration before any appointment is confirmed. At Lingfield College, we uphold fundamental British values and expect all employees to do the same. Lingfield College is an Equal Opportunities employer.
