Art, Craft and Design Technician (3D Design/Technology)
Required: September 2025
Salary: Point 6 -10 (£25,596- £27,101 actual salary)
Term Time + 1 week (40 weeks per year) and 36 hours per week
We are seeking a technician to assist in the delivery of the technology aspect of the art, craft and design curriculum. This is a demanding role and the successful candidate will need to be organised and be able to prioritise their work, ensuring that student learning is not compromised.
The successful candidate will ideally have a background in either 3D Design, Graphics, or another technology based specialism.
This role is not for the faint hearted; it is a rewarding, but challenging role. You will need to be resilient, patient and be prepared to be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of the department. Working under pressure is vital for this role, along with a "can do" attitude.
The successful candidate should be comfortable in the use of subject specific machinery, such as a laser cutter, band saw and pillar drill, along with other common workshop equipment
We are fortunate in already having a very strong team in place with outstanding colleagues and inspirational leaders, working within excellent facilities.
Langdon Academy is a large 4-16 school, with over 1750 students in the secondary phase, and is part of Brampton Manor Trust, along with Brampton Manor Academy, who have an enviable reputation both locally and nationally.
