Full Job Description

The role is responsible for driving regional commercial performance, customer engagement and technical support across forage and seeds activities. It combines account management, agronomist and farmer engagement, trial and demonstration coordination, CRM discipline, and strong cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, technical, customer service and HR/IT support functions.,

  • Manage and develop relationships with key accounts, retailers, agronomists, farmer dealers and influential regional contacts across the territory.
  • Support commercial growth for Pioneer seed, forage products, silage inoculants products through structured customer engagement and follow-up.
  • Maintain regular contact with key distributors and customer with territory / region.
  • Plan and execute introduction communications to agronomists, retailers and farmers using Salesforce contact data, mail merge processes and GDPR-compliant contact handling.
  • Review and maintain territory plans, contact ownership, customer records and activity tracking in Salesforce.
  • Coordinate and support PACTS trials, side-by-side demonstrations, harvest assessments, data collection and customer site visits.
  • Work with technical managers and marketing teams to deliver product demonstrations, field days and customer-facing seasonal activities.
  • Follow investigation processes, record cases in Salesforce and coordinate with internal technical and commercial contacts where required.
  • Support merchandising and depot visibility activities, including dedicated visits to key depots where needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across strategy, commercial sales, field sales, marketing, technical management, customer service, HR, finance and systems to ensure effective onboarding, execution and regional alignment.
  • Main Activities:
  • Set up, manage and attend one-to-one meetings with internal subject matter experts to understand strategy, marketing, commercial sales, customer service, product technical information, CRM and investigation processes.
  • Ensure IT, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Concur and other systems access is in place and used effectively.
  • Participate in onboarding, EHS induction, benefits briefings and self-paced training resources relevant to the role.
  • Plan customer introductions and territory communications for agronomists, key retailers, farmers and Tier 1/2 forage customers.
  • Support PACTS drilling, assessment, flowering visits, demonstration days, harvest coordination, weighing, sampling and result processing with the relevant technical teams.
  • Capture side-by-side trial information, samples and harvest weights, and maintain contact with participating farmers.
  • Coordinate with promoters, technical managers and regional colleagues on equipment, seed delivery, storage, safety protocols and trial data.
  • Manage promoter activities, maintain regular contact, provide technical support, and participate with the promoter hiring process
  • Keep territory maps, area manager maps, website/app contact information and customer account details up to date.
  • Key Interfaces:
  • Internal: Sales leadership, field sales managers, technical managers, category marketing managers, promoters, customer services, HR, IT, finance, marketing communications and CRM support.
  • External: Retailers, agronomists, farmers, farmer dealers, nutritionists, distributors, buying groups and regional industry contacts.

    University Degree in Applied Science or related qualification with working experience in Agribusiness environment.
  • Good understanding of agronomics - forage, seed, maize and grassland markets required.
  • Ability to organise trials, demonstrations, field visits and seasonal customer activities within the South UK regions.
  • Confident use of Salesforce/CRM, Microsoft 365 and business systems.
  • Structured follow-up, accurate record keeping and disciplined territory planning.
  • Strong collaboration skills across technical, marketing, sales and support functions.
  • Strong commercial and customer relationship management skills.
  • Awareness of safety, compliance, GDPR and investigation processes.
  • Valid Driver's licence
