Area Highways Technician

Are you looking for new exciting challenge working with the Area Highway Team in our Highway Depot assisting in the maintenance and management of the highway network?, The County Council is looking to recruit an Area Highway Technician who will assist the Local Highway Managers dealing with community requests on highway related matters, support overall delivery and management of the highways service to Gloucestershire's residents as well as delivering the statutory highway duties.

As Area Highway Technician you will be supporting the Area Team within a designated geographical area ordering maintenance activities through our Term Maintenance Contractor. You should have relevant experience in highways, emergency management and be committed to excellent customer service., The council is not currently able to offer sponsorship in this role. Candidates will need to have a right to work that enables them to commit to at least 6 months' employment. Right to work is not transferable from a sponsored role held with another employer. It is a legal requirement, under the Immigration Act 2016, that anyone appointed to a 'customer facing role' must be able to demonstrate an ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in fluent English.
