Full Job Description
We are a steel detailing, fabrication & installation business based in Newton Abbot, who now seek an additional experienced Architectural Metalwork & Steelwork Estimator. We produce a wide variety of work in both mild steel & stainless steel including; Architectural Metalwork Secondary Steelwork Structural Steelwork The role:
- Estimating architectural metalwork secondary steelwork & structural steel
- To read and interpret architects and engineering drawings
- To understand, evaluate & populate estimating data into the company's estimating systems. Comply & assist with H&S procedures & requirements The candidate
Experience from a steel fabrication & installation background & familiar in estimating steel fabrication / architectural metalwork. - Ability to use CAD software systems & 3D detailing in particular, is a distinct advantage Ability to use excel, word
- Driven by quality of workmanship.
- Ability to work in a close knit fast track business.
- Good communication skills & able to liaise with Architects, Engineers & Clients
