Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced tree surveyor to join our team to help ensure our trees within the district are kept safe for the public enjoying our public open spaces, whilst also ensuring all risk assessments are up to date. The main responsibilities are - - Complete all tree inspections of WFDC trees. - Plan any works that are required following inspections. - Deal with members of other authorities to ensure SLA agreements are completed. - Ensure risk assessments are completed and up to date. - Respond to and resolve any complaints submitted. In this role we require the successful candidate to deal with customers so must have exceptional communication skills to help provide a great service. You will get the chance to work in a variety of locations from busy parks, to quiet nature reserves, as well as ensuring the safety of our customers' trees. As part of the role you will still get the chance to work with the team to complete certain jobs that require extra staff. The role will require you to work flexibly on a rota basis covering a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, bank holidays and Christmas working.To work outside normal office hours from time to time as the demands of the post and emergencies dictate in addition to the out of hours rota. This job includes duties that may require an element of physical exertion and mobility on an occasional or frequent basis. Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside normal office hours if necessary, including a requirement to be available for evening meetings.
