As an OoH AMHP, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable adults outside of core working hours (Mon - Mon 5:00pm - 9:00am). This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and skilled AMHP who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident making high-quality, autonomous decisions under pressure., We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and committed professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality services. You will bring:
- Strong knowledge of Mental Health Act (1983, as amended 2007) and Care Act (2014)
- Proven ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- Excellent decision-making and risk assessment skills
- Strong multi-agency working experience and communication skills You will also contribute to developing best practice, acting as a role model for high standards in Adult Social Care. Essential Requirements Applicants must be one of the following registered professionals:
- Social Worker
- Mental Health Nurse
- Occupational Therapist
- Psychologist You must:
- Be registered with the relevant professional body (Social Work England, NMC, HCPC)
- Hold current AMHP approval
- Evidence post-qualifying experience and ongoing CPD as an AMHP
- Demonstrate strong partnership working with agencies such as NHS, Police, Ambulance, care providers, and advocacy services, If you are an experienced AMHP looking to make a meaningful impact in a rewarding and challenging out-of-hours role, we would love to hear from you.
The OoH Team forms part of the 24-hour AMHP Service, based at Haylock House, Kettering, supporting both North and West Northamptonshire., We provide a range of great benefits such as an Employee Assistance Programme, an Employee Benefits Scheme, wellbeing support, travel rates at HMRC rates, as well as supporting a range of active Employee Network Groups.
Nights - Weekends
- Bank holidays, NNCSC Pay Band 23: £48,226 - £51,356
- Plus 15% Out of Hours Allowance
- 28 days annual leave per year (pro rota for part time employees), plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 after 2 years' continuous service and a further three after 5 years' continuous service.
- Business Mileage paid at 45p per mile
- Free DBS check according to job role
