Full Job Description
The role is for a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to work withina dynamic and supportive team. It will include arranging and coordinating assessmentsunder the Mental Health Act 1983, adhering to all Mental Health legislation, the MHAcodes of practice and other related legislation. There will be screening MHA requestsand act as a single point of access for all requests under the act.
A vacancy for an enthusiastic and well-motivated AMHP has arisen in the Mental HealthSocial Work team. The successful applicant will need to evidence that they have someexperience in carrying out Mental Health Act (1983) assessments, and the appropriatequalifications to support this.The post-holder will be responsible for assessing and arranging support for individualsunder the Mental Health Act. An ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure,excellent organisational and IT skills are essential requirements.
