Apprentice Vehicle Technician

At NY Highways, you'll train as a Vehicle Technician while earning a salary, gaining real-world experience from day one in a busy workshop environment. You'll learn how to maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles that help keep North Yorkshire moving. What you'll be doing As an Apprentice Vehicle Technician, you'll build practical skills while working alongside experienced technicians. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and safety checks
• Assisting with MOT inspections and identifying wear and tear
• Repairing and replacing engine and vehicle components
• Using diagnostic tools to identify faults
• Preparing vehicles for maintenance and ensuring they meet safety standards
• Following health and safety procedures in a workshop environment

• GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above), or willingness to achieve this
• A full UK driving licence, or working towards it
