Introduction
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working with children and wishes to begin a rewarding career in education. The successful candidate will work towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification whilst gaining valuable hands-on experience in a thriving primary school environment.

What You'll Do
As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, no two days are the same. You will work closely with teachers and pupils across the school, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Typical duties may include:
- Supporting pupils in class with their learning activities
- Working with small groups or individual children under the guidance of the class teacher
- Helping to prepare and organise classroom resources and displays
- Assisting with reading, phonics, maths and other curriculum activities
- Supporting children during playtimes, lunchtimes and educational visits where appropriate
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting the school's values
- Helping pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills
- Assisting with the assessment and recording of pupil progress
- Supporting children with additional needs where required
This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience of working within a busy and successful primary school while making a real difference to children's education.
Training Outcome
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will have gained a nationally recognised qualification and substantial practical experience working in a school setting.
They will be well placed to:
- Apply for Teaching Assistant positions within schools
- Progress onto further specialist training or higher-level apprenticeships
- Develop a career supporting children and young people in education
- Gain the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to work effectively as part of a school staff team
- For the right candidate, the apprenticeship could provide a strong foundation for a long-term career in education and may lead to future employment opportunities within the sector
