About the Employer

At King James Academy, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to excel, and we are committed to ensuring that each student is known, valued, and supported to achieve their very best. Our all-through structure creates a seamless educational journey from Year 5 to Year 11, allowing us to build deep relationships with families and provide consistent, high-quality teaching that nurtures confidence and ambition.

We are proud of our strong academic foundations, but equally of the vibrant enrichment programme that helps our students discover their passions and talents. From sports and performing arts to STEM, outdoor learning, and community initiatives, our pupils benefit from a wide and engaging range of experiences that extend learning far beyond the classroom.

Our school enjoys a reputation for being welcoming, inclusive, and forward looking. We invest in excellent pastoral care, ensuring that children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn each day. Visitors often comment on the calm, purposeful atmosphere across both sites—an environment where students demonstrate pride in their learning and mutual respect for one another.

As a central part of the Royston community, we work closely with local organisations and partners to enrich learning and broaden opportunities for our students. Families appreciate our strong values, our commitment to high standards, and our belief that education should be both joyful and challenging.
