Apprentice Revenues and Welfare Benefits Practitioner (level 4)

You will work alongside experienced Welfare Rights Officers, helping to provide advice and support to individuals and families facing financial hardship, making a real difference in people's lives., This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience supporting residents across Sunderland to:

You will develop the skills needed for a successful career by working alongside experienced colleagues while building knowledge of welfare rights, benefits systems, support services and the broader impact of residents being financially well . What You Will Be Doing
• Supporting the development and delivery of creative and engaging communications campaigns
• Supporting residents to understand their entitlement to welfare benefits
• Assisting with benefit claims, forms, and online applications
• Helping gather evidence for benefit claims and appeals
• Observing and supporting casework, including mandatory reconsiderations and appeals
• Providing general advice and signposting to council services and partner organisations
• Maintaining accurate records and case notes in line with data protection requirements
• Contributing to reducing financial exclusion and supporting vulnerable residents, A structured apprenticeship programme with full training and support from a trained assessor to complete the qualification
• Support from experienced Welfare Rights professionals

• Working Arrangements
• The team operates agile working, however you will be expected to attend your main place of work a minimum of two days per week, with opportunities for flexible working where appropriate. One day a week will be set aside for attending an educational institute, in person or online.

• A commitment to provide excellent customer service and positive experiences, Be aged 16 or over at the start of the apprenticeship
• Not be in full-time education
• A Uk citizen or have proof of the right to work in the UK
• Have lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years or more
• Have the legal right to work in the UK for the full duration of the apprenticeshipPlease note, you cannot undertake an apprenticeship if you already have a higher qualification in the same subject
