Full Job Description

  • Carry out research and laboratory investigations to develop new product formulations and processes.
  • Evaluate raw materials for use in new and existing products.
  • Progress new formulations from lab scale to full production.
  • Discuss and develop new product concepts and communicate or present accordingly.
  • Study towards BSc (Hons) Chemical Science Degree with Manchester Metropolitan University via tutor-supported e-learning course (part-time over 4 years).
  • Attend residential modules at Manchester Metropolitan University as required.

    3 A Levels (one being Chemistry) equating to a minimum 104 UCAS tariff points
  • Level 2 English and Maths
  • Good standard of IT literacy
  • Good communication skills both written & verbal.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • An aptitude for practical chemistry.
  • A broad interest in science relating to the chemical industry/fertilisers/agriculture.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines and balance priorities.
  • Discipline and self-motivation to balance the requirements of a challenging job and studying for a degree., This is an amazing opportunity to gain practical experience and a Degree qualification at the same time., In return you will need to be a self-starter and demonstrate commitment to work and study.
