What You'll Do
- Work alongside experienced engineers on live engineering projects.
- Rotate through Design, Development, Manufacturing, Test and Applications Engineering teams.
- Support the design and development of innovative electric motor technologies.
- Assist with prototype builds, testing and product validation.
- Analyse engineering data and help solve technical problems.
- Use engineering software and digital design tools.
- Participate in design reviews and project meetings.
- Support manufacturing and process improvement activities.
- Prepare technical documentation and engineering reports.
- Apply university learning to real workplace engineering challenges.
- Work safely and follow health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Complete apprenticeship learning, maintain records and work towards your degree qualification.
Training Outcome
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to progress into a permanent engineering role within Advanced Electric Machines. You'll be equipped with the knowledge, skills and experience to build a career in product design and development, electrification technologies and sustainable engineering, with opportunities to further develop your technical expertise and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
