Full Job Description

A great opportunity to join the National Trading Standards Intelligence Team hosted by Suffolk County Councilas an apprentice undertaking a Level 4 Intelligence Analyst apprenticeship working from Landmark House.
Your role and responsibilities
You will:
+ be part of a small intelligence team that will conduct research on multiple data sets to enhance the intelligence picture across the trading standards landscape to assist in investigations of Trading Standards priority areas
+ be responsible for horizon scanning for issues/crimes that may impact consumers nationally regionally and locally and record these on a case management system
+ work alongside members of the team to achieve the learning objectives in the apprenticeship as well as carry out small projects and tasks to assist your learning and the teams investigations by providing effective support to drive forward the work of the National Trading Standards Intelligence Team
+ assist the National Trading Standards Team with their tactical and strategic intelligence products and investigations to support the wider trading standards intelligence network., Step 2 - Upload a supporting statement answering the following questions below (no more than 400 words per question). + The ability to work both with in a small team and under your own guidance with good time management skills.
+ Be a good communicator and engage with team mates to enhance knowledge and share ideas and have a positive outlook to your work.
+ You will need basic IT skills with the ability to learn on the job and undertake additional training when required.

The National Trading Standards Intelligence Team is hosted by Suffolk County Council one of the key objectives for National Trading Standards has been to develop intelligence led working and to support local authority trading standards services in using intelligence to help support local work and priorities. The team provides technical expertise to help identify and analyse national trends and emerging threats informing tasking and prioritisation processes help record develop and analyse intelligence monitor trends and identify key problems and threats that enables targeted enforcement to be taken nationally regionally and locally to effectively deal with criminals.

+ 24404 per annum (pro rata if part time)
+ 37 Hours per week - Flexible working options available
