Introduction

Nottinghamshire County Council is looking for a motivated individual to join our Local Transport Plans and Programme Development Team.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues to help plan, develop, and deliver highway improvements that benefit Nottinghamshire's residents, businesses, and visitors.

What You'll Do

  • Collect and analyse data to support transport strategies and projects
  • Assist in the design and development of highway improvement schemes
  • Support project delivery as part of a collaborative team
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of existing and proposed programmes
  • Develop your skills through structured training and workplace learning


Training Outcome

On completion of the Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship, individuals should have the skills to pursue a range of roles and career opportunities across the highways, transportation, and infrastructure sectors.

As experience and qualifications develop, individuals can progress into roles with increasing responsibility for transport planning, highway design, infrastructure delivery, policy development, asset and network management, and project or programme delivery.
