Full Job Description
Introduction
Working as part of a team to prepare the golf course to the highest standard possible. Full training will be given and there will be an opportunity to apply to college to gain a Level 2 Golf Greenkeeper qualification.The successful applicant must be hard working, punctual and happy to work outdoors in all weather.
About the Employer
We are a busy golf course situated just north of York. There is no public transport available to get to the golf club.
What You'll Do
Once trained to use ride on mowing machinery the apprentice will be cutting fairways tees and banks. Raking and edging bunkers and generally making sure the golf course looks neat and tidy, using a variety of hand tools such as strimmers and hedge cutters.
Training Outcome
Once qualified there may be an opportunity to stay at the golf club, or the successful candidate may wish to work abroad or elsewhere in the UK.
