Introduction
Michael James Furniture in Nelson are recruiting for an Apprentice Furniture Manufacturer. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 2 Furniture Making Operative apprenticeship over the duration of 21 months.
About the Employer
At Michael James Furniture, we specialise in crafting beautifully tailored furniture and fitted kitchens for homes across the UK. Based in Clitheroe, with our workshop in Nelson, Lancashire, we design and build every piece in house - so quality and detail are never left to chance.
What You'll Do
- Sanding up timber components
- Assembling frames, doors and cabinets
- Preparation of components to high standard prior to spraying
- Use of disc sanders, battery drills, pin guns and gluing components / sash clamps
- Working on assembly bench and learning how to fit doors and build carcasses and attach fittings and fixtures
- Possible chance to progress onto CNC
