What You'll Do
- Reading engineering drawings, specifications and production documents
- Supporting the planning and scheduling of manufacturing work
- Updating production records, technical documents and reports
- Using computer software to enter, analyse and present technical information
- Checking components, materials and finished equipment for quality
- Assisting with product inspections, testing and fault finding
- Helping engineers and production staff solve technical or manufacturing problems
- Supporting product improvements, prototypes and development projects
- Monitoring stock, materials and the progress of work through production
- Communicating updates and technical information to colleagues
- Keeping work areas organised and following health and safety procedures
- Recording evidence and completing coursework for the apprenticeship
