Full Job Description
This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working with children, and wants to build a meaningful career in early years education. You don't need loads of experience - just the right attitude, a caring nature, and a willingness to learn. What You'll Be Doing From story time and messy play to helping children build confidence and friendships, no two days are the same. You will;
- Help create a warm, safe, and happy environment
- Support children with daily routines and activities
- Work closely with colleagues to support the smooth running of the nursery
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
- Follow all nursery policies and procedures
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment
- Attend college/training sessions as part of the apprenticeship programme
- Complete coursework and assignments within required timescales What you'll get in return;

- Previous experience working with children (voluntary or paid)
- Basic understanding of child development
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Personal Qualities
- A genuine interest in working with children
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, caring, and enthusiastic
- Commitment to completing a Level 3 qualification Skills Required
- Brings energy, patience, and kindness to the team
- Is reliable, caring, and eager to get involved

- Good communication and listening skills
- Able to work well as part of a team Training to be Provided Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day. You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
