Full Job Description
Eligibility Minimum age - 18 for clinical roles. Funding cannot be used for training or knowledge, skills and behaviours the apprentice has already achieved. Apprentices cannot be enrolled on another apprenticeship or training programme that is funded through government funds; this includes student finance. Government funding rules state that individuals must have eligible residency status for a minimum of 3 years and the right to work in the UK. We do not sponsor visas for this apprenticeship post. Learners must be able to complete the apprenticeship within the allocated programme length (e.g. visa length must cover the full duration). The programme length will be reflected in their Fixed Term Contract. Why You Should Join Our Team Leeds Teaching Hospitals is committed to being the best place to work, and that starts with how we support, value and develop our people. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you'll be granted a permanent Clinical Support Worker role, as well as
achieving a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Clinical Healthcare Support. We have a strong focus on wellbeing, inclusion and work-life balance. We value diversity and are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels respected, valued and able to thrive. Reasonable adjustments are available for disabled applicants. We offer a competitive salary from day one, plus access to excellent NHS benefits including retail discounts and a highly competitive pension scheme. Most importantly, you will benefit from working in a supportive environment where your voice is heard and your development is prioritised. What You Will Bring to the Role Above all, we are looking for people who genuinely want to care for others. This is a caring role at its heart, and compassion, kindness and respect are just as important as the clinical skills you'll develop throughout the apprenticeship. You'll bring compassion, empathy and a genuine desire to support patients, along with the motivation to
learn and grow throughout the apprenticeship. You don't need previous experience, just a willingness to learn, a positive attitude and the confidence to ask questions as you grow. Being reliable, patient and respectful will help you settle into the team, and your natural ability to communicate with others will make a real difference to the patients you meet. Most importantly, you'll bring curiosity, compassion and the motivation to develop new skills at a pace that feels manageable and supported. Next steps: This is an expression of interest advert only, you will not be asked to complete a full application form at this stage. If you are interested in exploring this opportunity further please upload your details, ensuring you provide your name, mobile number and email address. You will receive an email from Leeds Health and Care Talent Hub who will ask you to complete an expression of interest form and discuss what will happen next. About Leeds Teaching Hospital
