Introduction
Start your career in care while getting paid to learn. As an Apprentice Care and Support Assistant, you’ll support residents in the everyday moments, help run activities and build confidence while working towards a fully funded Level 2 Adult Care Worker qualification with real progression opportunities.

What You'll Do
- Greet residents and visitors and be the warm, welcoming face of the community
- Answer queries and support residents with everyday needs
- Plan and lead engaging activities, both group sessions and one‑to‑one moments
- Encourage independent living and help residents stay active and connected
- Support residents to engage with their local community, including outings and virtual family catch‑ups
- Champion resident choice and enable people to live life on their own terms
- Work as part of the Retirement Community Team in a single, consistent location
Training Outcome
After completing the apprenticeship, you can progress into a permanent Care and Support Assistant role within Sanctuary Supported Living.

Working Arrangements
Working Week: 37.5 hours per week, worked on-site as part of the Retirement Community team. Shifts may include daytime, evening or weekend work depending on service needs.
