Introduction
A fabulous opportunity to join the Family Connect team which is the single point of access to Children's Services, receiving safeguarding concerns, support requests, and referrals relating to children, young people, and families. To develop professional skills, and gain insight into how Children's Services operates.

What You'll Do
As an Apprentice Business Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Family Connect team by processing referrals, recording information accurately, and ensuring sensitive safeguarding information is handled efficiently and confidentially.
Key responsibilities include:
- Process safeguarding referrals from partner agencies, including Police, Health Services, Education, Early Help providers, and other statutory and voluntary organisations.
- Record referrals and safeguarding information accurately on the appropriate case management systems
- Ensure information is processed promptly and allocated in accordance with service procedures and statutory timescales
- Maintain accurate electronic records and update databases in line with service requirements
- Other ad hoc duties such as processing and sending letters and maintaining shared inboxes
- Record information accurately, ensuring appropriate action is taken in line with safeguarding procedures
- Prepare, distribute, and maintain records, reports, correspondence, and documentation
- Support the organisation and administration of meetings where required
- Handle highly sensitive, confidential, and often distressing information relating to children, families, abuse, neglect, domestic abuse, exploitation, and other safeguarding concerns
Training Outcome
This is a fixed-term for 18-months; however, this can lead to permanent position depending on course completion and performance.
