Ashley Whitfield Building Contractors are a well-established and well-respected building firm covering various locations across Teesside and North Yorkshire. They are looking for a hardworking bricklaying apprentice to work alongside their growing workforce.

About the Employer

What You'll Do

• Assist with bricklaying tasks— mixing mortar, laying bricks and blocks, and helping build walls, foundations, and other structures under supervision
• Prepare and maintain work areas— setting up tools, cleaning equipment, and ensuring materials are ready for use
• Follow technical drawings— learning to interpret plans, measurements, and specifications accurately
• Use tools and equipment safely— including trowels, levels, mixers, and cutting tools
• Support site operations— loading and unloading materials, moving supplies, and helping other trades when required
• Maintain quality standards— ensuring work is neat, accurate, and compliant with building regulations
• Learn and apply construction skills— attending training sessions, completing coursework, and developing practical competence
• Adhere to health and safety procedures— wearing PPE, following site rules, and reporting hazards

• A permanent position may be available upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme
