Introduction
James Hargreaves in Lancaster are recruiting for a Branch Assistant Apprentice.The successful applicant will complete a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship over the course of 15 months.
About the Employer
James Hargreaves first opened the doors of his plumbers' merchants in Lancashire in 1923. His family ran this business for over four decades serving the local community. Then, in 1968 everything would change.
It was a tough time for plumbers. Soaring prices squeezed margins & threatened livelihoods. Looking for a way forward, nine independent plumbers came together with a plan to buy their own supply business. A certain small firm in Blackburn fit the bill perfectly.
What You'll Do
- Goods in/out responsibilities
- Liaising with suppliers
- General warehouse duties
- Processing orders
- Customer order picking
- Dealing with telephone inquiries
- Fork Lift Truck (When test passed)
