Payroll administration to include: Payroll processing for clients Dealing with day-to-day queries arising from payroll Ensuring up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation Backing up and updating payrolls when processed Liaising with payroll clients as and when necessary Processing paperwork from HMRC and other government bodies Organising/filing payroll related paperwork Working within the software system Pegasus Accounts work, to include: Liaising with HMRC and VAT office as required Preparation of VAT returns Speaking directly with clients as necessary Assisting with invoicing (in-house and external) Assisting with purchase processing as required (in-house and external) Once qualified through the course: · Preparation of clients' accounts Preparation of clients' self-assessment returns and partnership returns Preparation of limited company accounts and submitting the same to Companies House and HMRC Training STANDARD & LEVEL The successful candidate will work towards completing the Level 3 Assistant Accountant Standard from the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education. Prospects This is a growing practice and the opportunity beyond the apprenticeship is available for the right candidate.
