What You'll Do
- Assemble evacuation chairs and related products following company procedures and quality standards.
- Learn to safely use a range of hand tools, equipment and assembly techniques.
- Work alongside experienced colleagues to build practical engineering and manufacturing skills.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet the required standard before dispatch.
- Receive, check and store deliveries while learning effective stock control procedures.
- Help maintain a clean, safe and organised work area using 6S principles.
- Follow health and safety procedures and ISO quality standards at all times.
- Work as part of the assembly team to meet daily production targets and customer requirements.
- Report stock shortages, quality concerns or production issues to your supervisor.
- Complete a Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship while earning and developing valuable workplace skills.
Training Outcome
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent CNC Operator position. With further experience and training, you'll have opportunities to progress into roles such as CNC Programmer, CNC Setter/Operator, Production Engineer or Manufacturing Supervisor, building a long-term career in engineering.
