Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead our specialist Appointeeship and Deputyship service, supporting vulnerable adults to live their largest lives through effective financial management, safeguarding, and legal compliance.,
- Lead, manage and develop a specialist team delivering Appointee and Deputy services
- Oversee complex and high-risk cases involving vulnerable adults and their financial affairs
- Ensure robust financial governance, accurate financial management, and statutory compliance
- Act as the professional lead for complex Deputyship cases
- Ensure compliance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) standards, and relevant legislation
- Monitor service performance, financial activity, and safeguarding risks
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and quality standards
- Build effective partnerships with internal teams, external organisations, and key stakeholders
Significant experience in Appointeeship and Deputyship services - Strong knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, financial safeguarding, and relevant legal frameworks
- Proven ability to manage complex, high-risk casework with sound professional judgement
- Strong financial awareness with the ability to interpret and manage complex financial data
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions under pressure
