Appointed Person / Site Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Appointed Person / Site Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising lifting operations and modular building installations across a variety of customer sites. The successful candidate will ensure that all lifting activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in full compliance with current legislation and company procedures. They will act as a key point of contact between Wernick Hire, subcontractors and customers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest safety and quality standards.,

• Plan, manage and oversee lifting operations in accordance with LOLER regulations and industry best practice.
• Produce and review site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Take responsibility for the organisation, planning and control of lifting operations.
• Conduct site visits and survey work to support successful project delivery.
• Attend and contribute to pre-start and project planning meetings.
• Supervise installation activities, ensuring modular building sections are erected safely and correctly.
• Manage subcontractors and site teams, ensuring work is completed to agreed standards.
• Monitor project progress, proactively identifying and resolving delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Liaise directly with customers, contractors and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Inspect completed installations and arrange any remedial or defect rectification work.
• Maintain accurate project records, documentation and site reports.
• Manage project resources, timescales and budgets effectively.
  
  Appointed Person qualification.
• Valid CSCS Supervisor Card.
• Experience planning and managing lifting operations.
• Strong understanding of LOLER, Health & Safety legislation and lifting best practices.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and site-based teams.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
• Experience within the modular building, construction or site accommodation industry.
• CPCS Crane Supervisor or relevant lifting qualifications.
• Knowledge of temporary works and modular construction methodologies.
• SMSTS qualification., Appointed Person qualification.
• Valid CSCS Supervisor Card.
• Experience planning and managing lifting operations.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and site-based teams.
Desired criteria
• First aid trained
• Experience within the modular building, construction or site accommodation industry.
• SMSTS qualification.
