Full Job Description
We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Associate Applications Technician to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will help support and maintain business applications, provide effective second-line support, and contribute to system improvements that enable high-quality services across the organisation. You will support the delivery, maintenance and development of key business applications, ensuring they are secure, reliable and responsive to changing service needs. Working with colleagues, customers and suppliers, you will help resolve incidents and requests, assist with upgrades and testing, and contribute to projects that improve systems and digital services.,
- Provide effective second-line support for business applications, resolving incidents, requests and queries.
- Support technical configuration, system changes, upgrades and testing while minimising disruption to users.
- Work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure systems meet business needs.
- Maintain and improve data quality through housekeeping, reconciliation and data-cleansing activities.
- Produce reports and outputs from systems, and support users to run and configure reports themselves.
- Liaise with software suppliers and external partners to log, escalate and resolve issues.
- Support IT and systems-related projects, ensuring customer requirements and information security obligations are met.
- Provide advice and guidance to users so systems are used effectively and data is entered accurately.
You will bring strong general ICT skills and a proactive, service-led approach to supporting business applications. You should be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, managing your own workload, and responding calmly to changing priorities and technical issues. - Experience supporting large-scale or complex business applications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer focus.
- Experience assisting with system upgrades, testing and live implementation.
- Ability to prioritise incidents and requests, understand risk, and escalate appropriately.
- Experience of data-cleansing, system housekeeping or maintaining data quality.
- Ability to identify issues and requirements from stakeholder discussions and translate them into practical action.
- Awareness of information governance, data security and the importance of compliance.
- Five GCSEs at grade A to C, or equivalent qualifications.
