Job DescriptionApplication Support Engineer 18-Month Contract Location: Falmer, West Sussex hybrid working, 2 days per week on siteHours: 37 hours per week, Monday to FridayWe are recruiting a Telemetry Support Engineer to join a major organisation undergoing significant IT and Operational Technology (OT) transformation.This role is ideal for an experienced support engineer with knowledge of telemetry, SCADA, Operational Technology, application support, databases and IT Service Management. You will support business-critical OT and telemetry systems, provide 2nd line application support and work closely with technical teams, project managers, service delivery and business stakeholders.Key Responsibilities Provide 2nd line support for business-critical applications and OT systemsPerform database configuration in line with established standardsInvestigate and resolve incidents, problems and technical faultsSupport BAU implementations, upgrades and service transition activitiesLiaise with IT
service desk and service delivery teamsSupport project planning through scope, effort and resource estimatesMaintain high standards of application and operational supportSkills and Experience Experience supporting telemetry, SCADA, OT or control systemsApplication support, incident management and problem resolution experienceDatabase configuration, database administration or SQL knowledgeKnowledge of IT networks, telecommunications or hardware supportUnderstanding of IT Service Management, configuration management and knowledge managementStrong communication, prioritisation and stakeholder management skillsITIL Foundation v4 or above is highly desirable.
