We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic Applications technical team at Birmingham City Council. As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert support for various software applications and systems. You will work closely with internal technical teams and external suppliers to ensure the smooth operation of our existing solutions and to collaborate in implementing new ones. The ideal candidate should be user-focused, motivated, and experienced in supporting internal teams. They must collaborate effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and performance of solutions in a dynamic environment. What we are about As an Application Support Engineer, you will have the dual responsibility of supporting the current application portfolio and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to implement advanced solutions that fulfil business requirements.   • Technical Expert: Experience or knowledge of Social Care applications
  • Application Support: Contribute to the implementation, seamless support and operation of applications across multiple business areas
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain excellent relationships with peers and stakeholders within the business

    Experience: Experience in supporting Adults and / or Children's services
  • Technical Skills: Strong IT skills, with extensive hands-on experience in implementing, troubleshooting and managing software applications
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
