Anaesthetic Practitioner

Are you an Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse with an anaesthetic qualification looking for a new challenge? At Bristol NHS Foundation Trust we currently have 34 theatres in the Brunel Building, with a further 4 theatres in the new Bristol Surgical Centre. The theatres are supported by 84 medirooms and 4 traditional PACU facilities. We are a Major Trauma Centre, covering a range of specialties including Plastics & Breast, Urology, General, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Metabolic & GI, Elective Orthopaedic, Neuro & Spinal, Vascular, Interventional Radiology, Emergency & Trauma. Suitable candidates need to be either Newly Qualified ODPs, experienced Registered ODP or Registered Nurses with a post basic Anaesthetic Nursing qualification., The successful candidate will:
• Participate in all aspects of clinical operating department work, and provide a high standard of patient care and safety in accordance with the North Bristol NHS Trust philosophy and objectives, policies and legal requirements
• Deputise for the Team Leader when required/experience allows
• Be involved in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and work within a flexible team structure involving a multi- disciplinary team
