Anaesthetic ODP / Nurse - Band 5

An exciting opportunity has arisen at West Middlesex University Hospital to expand our theatre workforce and recruit a Band 5 Anaesthetic ODP/Nurse to join our supportive and dynamic team. Our theatre department comprises eight operating theatres and a recovery unit, including eight adult bays and three paediatric bays, providing care across a wide range of elective and emergency surgical specialties. You will benefit from rotational experience across adult, paediatric, and obstetric theatres, enabling you to develop a broad and comprehensive skill set within anaesthetics. As an Anaesthetic ODP/Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in line with the Trust's PROUD values (Putting patients first, Responsive, Open and Honest, Determine to develop). The role requires participation in a full shift pattern, including days, nights, and weekends, Working collaboratively with the Lead ODP, Theatre Coordinators, and multidisciplinary team, you will:
• Deliver safe, effective anaesthetic care across all perioperative stages
• Participate in rotation across specialties to maintain and develop competence
• Contribute to maintaining efficiency, patient flow, and theatre utilisation
• Demonstrate strong communication and non-technical skills in a fast-paced environment
• Support service improvement, including cost-effective and environmentally sustainable practices
