Are you a passionate and qualified Psychiatric Nurse ready to make a real difference in mental health care? This is an exciting time to join our service as we create a new North East Oxfordshire team in order to better meet the growing population of the Bicester, Kidlington, Islip, Woodstock and Yarnton locality. We are seeking experienced mental health nurses ready to embrace innovative ways of working in line with the Community Mental Health Framework. Together you will form a innovative and caring service build upon the values of Oxford Health. Working alongside a range of clinical professionals and closely with third sector partners to provide high-quality, holistic, person-centred care. You will benefit from regular supervision, access to professional forums, and ongoing training opportunities to support your career progression and enhance your skills. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours, Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00). Due to the nature of the role, the ability to travel independently across Trust sites and to conduct home visits is essential and not all areas are accessible via public transport. Join us and play a key role in shaping the future of community mental health care., As a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse and key worker, the post holder is responsible for managing a caseload of adults with complex mental health needs, undertaking comprehensive mental health and risk assessments, developing and reviewing personalised care plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to support recovery and relapse prevention. The role involves working autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care with families, carers and partner agencies, monitoring both mental and physical health needs, including cardiometabolic assessments, and providing specialist advice on medication management. The post holder acts as an advocate for service users, contributes to duty and urgent care functions, supports students and junior staff through supervision and mentorship, participates in service improvement and quality initiatives, and promotes recovery-focused, rights-based and co-produced approaches to care.
