Ambassador for Experience Maths Event at Man Met and UoM

The Department of Computing and Mathematics are looking for students to work as an Ambassadors. We are looking for students who are currently studying Mathematics to support an upcoming Maths Taster Day. The event will give visiting students the opportunity to experience what studying Mathematics at Manchester Met is like, take part in subject-specific workshops, speak to current students, and visit both the Manchester Met and University of Manchester campuses. Ambassadors will support the day by engaging with visiting students, answering questions about their experiences of studying Mathematics and student life at Manchester Met, helping to create a welcoming and positive environment, and supporting staff during the workshops. Ambassadors will also be required to deliver a campus tour and help move students safely from the Manchester Met campus to the University of Manchester campus. The day will begin in the Dalton Building Reception area at Manchester Met and will end in the Alan Turing Building at the University of Manchester.,

• Share their own experiences of studying Mathematics and student life at Manchester Met.
• Act as a positive role model for higher education.
• Support students during campus tours, workshops, and movement between campuses.
• Follow instructions from staff and help ensure the day runs smoothly and safely.
