Full Job Description
As an Aircraft Technician, you'll support aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance, scheduled servicing, corrective maintenance and a range of technical activities that help ensure aircraft are maintained to the highest standards. This role is full-time, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:15 to 17:15, and is based on site at St Athan, near Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. Day-to-day you'll be required to:
- Supporting aircraft engineering, maintenance and servicing activities.
- Preparing aircraft for daily flying operations and operational requirements.
- Carrying out ground handling activities, including fuel and oil replenishment.
- Assisting with scheduled and corrective maintenance activities in line with approved procedures.
- Following technical data, engineering instructions and maintenance documentation to support safe aircraft operations.
Interpreting technical data and engineering documentation. - Working within an aircraft maintenance or aviation engineering environment.
- Engaging effectively with a range of stakeholders and team members.
- Supporting maintenance activities in a safety-critical environment.
- Demonstrating a proactive approach to learning and professional development. Qualifications for the Aircraft Technician
- Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, Military aviation experience, NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance engineering procedures.
- Full UK driving licence. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
