Full Job Description
As an Aircraft Maintenance Inspector, you'll play a vital role in ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and regulatory standards. Working alongside Licensed Aircraft Engineers, you'll contribute to flight-line operations, maintenance activities, and engineering assurance, supporting critical aviation capability. Day-to-day, you will:
- Carry out scheduled and corrective aircraft maintenance activities
- Suppot flight-line operations including aircraft preparation, daily servicing, and turnaround
- Inspect and certifying maintenance work in line with regulatory and company standards
- Complete all maintenance documentation accurately in line with procedures and legislation
- Provide technical support and working collaboratively with engineering teams and stakeholders. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) based on site at RAF Benson. Shift patterns for this role are 4 x 10-hour days.
- Experience working within a military or civilian Part 145 environment
- Strong background in aircraft maintenance and flight-line operations
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and complete documentation accurately
- Experience supporting or supervising engineering or technician teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders. Qualifications for the Aircraft Maintenance Inspector:
- Recognised aircraft apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Military or civil aircraft engineering experience is desirable. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) / Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
