Air Pricing Supervisor - Europe

People:

• Guide, mentor and support Pricing Analyst
• Manage workflow within team
• Hold regular team catchup meetings and lead weekly call
• Conduct employee reviews on yearly basis with support of Pricing Manager
• Ensure new hires complete company's mandatory training within the first 6 months
• Identify and develop sources of training
• Conduct quarterly one on ones
RFQ Management:
• Support EUROPE Pricing strategy and goals
• Deliver efficiencies into the RFQ process
• Support with Pre-engagement of upcoming RFQs
• Review RFQ from CRM
• Understand potential opportunities, risks, and challenges
• Develop strategy to position ourselves for success
• Communicate with Sales, Account Management, Product and build strategy
• Collaborate with stakeholders including RVPs, DMs and Product
• Support team with live RFQ execution as needed
• Perform data analysis using Excel and Power BI
• Check RFQ formats and formulae
• Perform final RFQ review
• Ensure a complete and polished response within deadline
• Participate in face to face meetings and negotiations, as needed
• Follow up on and communicate RFQ outcome
• Maintain communication per DRP (Document Retention Policy)
Analytics:
• Deliver efficiencies into data analysis using Power BI
• Communicate bid statistics and performance with key stakeholders
General Support:
• Actively engage in and support Pricing Plan Initiatives
• Ownership of tools & tariffs
• Sales support, Geo and Account Management support
• Update RFQ Bid Log / Pricing Tool in a timely manner
• Support Manager where needed
• Actively engage in and support Pricing projects assigned by Manager
• Maintain adherence to The Company's policy and procedures while displaying and communicating The Company's goals and culture
  
  Training Requirements:
• Meets company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee
• Maintains a working knowledge of the industry
Education and Experience:
• 4 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• College or University Degree or equivalent business qualifications, Adhere to the company's 10 cultural attributes: Appearance, Attitude, Confidence, Curiosity, Excellence, Integrity, Pride, Resolute, Sense of Humor and Visionary
Knowledge:
• Strong industry knowledge; notably with regards to pricing structure
• Expeditors company policies and procedures knowledge
• A good understanding of Expeditors' products, services and systems

• Excellent communication skills
• Very detail oriented & strong analytical skills
• Proactive, strong organizational skills
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
• Ability to relate to employees at all levels
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (reporting, formatting, data modelling and performing complex calculations)
• Proven negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects
• Fluent in English; additional language is a bonus
