Full Job Description

The Cat Club Lead Supervisor has overall responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the provision, including staff supervision, activity planning, safeguarding, health and safety, and communication with parents and colleagues. The role involves leading creative and age-appropriate activities, with particular awareness of the needs of early years pupils.,

  • Planning and leading engaging indoor and outdoor activities that support children's social, emotional and physical development
  • Ensuring high standards of health, safety, hygiene and safeguarding at all times
  • Managing registers, attendance records and safe collection procedures
  • Supporting homework and quiet activities for older pupils where appropriate
  • Leading, supporting and coordinating the Cat Club staff team
  • Working closely with the Prep School Deputy Head (Pre-Prep) and relevant colleagues
  • Training and Safeguarding St Catherine's School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are required to undertake Child Protection and Safeguarding training, Prevent Duty training, First Aid training, and a basic Food Hygiene course (provided).

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who enjoys working with children across a broad age range and is confident in leading a small team to deliver high-quality care in a safe, nurturing and engaging environment., We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience working with children in a childcare, early years or school setting
  • Has a strong understanding of the developmental, emotional and pastoral needs of children aged 3-11, including EYFS pupils
  • Is calm, patient, nurturing and approachable, with the ability to create a safe and inclusive environment
  • Is confident leading and supervising a team of three to four staff
  • Is organised, reliable and able to manage daily routines with professionalism and initiative
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is comfortable using basic ICT systems (training provided where needed)
