Full Job Description
The postholder will assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of structured and unstructured play activities that meet children's individual developmental needs. They will work directly with children to support participation, positive engagement and appropriate behaviour, following school policies and procedures. The role will also include supervising children's movement to and from the club, supporting setup and clearing away of resources, using play equipment safely and reporting any concerns to the Club Supervisor or School Business Manager., Working for our Trust means contributing to something larger by supporting the education and life chances of children and young people every day., John Rankin Junior School would like all candidates to answer specific questions for the personal statement section. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children aged 4-11 and an understanding of good quality childcare. They will be reliable, responsible and able to work effectively as part of a team. They will have good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to organise time effectively and a proactive, flexible and adaptable approach to work. An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and a First Aid certificate are required.
