We are now looking to appoint an Advisory Teacher for Autism to assist the ALN Managers to Monitor and challenge schools to maximise the use of ALN funding using data to support pupils with ASD needs. The post holder will contribute to training school staff to build capacity to meet the needs of all ASD pupils, to embed person centred planning, develop Individual Development Plans and use provision mapping and pupil progress tracking tools. The post holder will assist the ALN managers with strategic developments, ALN processes and the Inclusion Panel. The Additional Learning Needs team offers a fantastic opportunity to join a Council that is looking to be innovative in how they deliver services. We are looking for a modern, inspirational, and inclusive manager with the relevant experience, enthusiasm, energy, drive, and commitment.. You will lead a small team of dedicated support staff supporting the needs of children and young people who have ASD Difficulties and will work closely with colleagues within the wider Additional Learning Needs Team in promoting achievement and wellbeing. You will need to be able to travel within the Local Authority area.

An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk Welsh language level - verbal Level 3 - You will need a good level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level
