Advanced Public Health Practitioner

We are recruiting an Advanced Public Health Practitioner role within the Tobacco and Smoking Cessation team, part of the Living and Working Well team. You will play a key role in forging partnerships with and influencing key stakeholders and will support public health Leads to develop, and hold, the overview of implementation, monitoring and quality of key public health programmes. You will work with partners to ensure the programmes are aligned with the broader context and are visible as well as tailored to reduce health inequalities and improve health and wellbeing.

As an Advanced Public Health Practitioner for the Smoking Cessation programme you will be the lead specialist for implementation, monitoring and quality of the smoking cessation programme. Providing oversight of smoking cessation programme planning, delivery and performance, ensuring the programme is delivered to time and budget and achieving the required outcomes.

The role will include budget management, staff recruitment and management (both line management and matrix work/task management)., Public Health also works closely with local agencies and partnerships to ensure the widest possible participation in the health and health care agenda.
