Advanced Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our Team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced, supportive general practice environment., The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) will utilise advanced clinical knowledge and skills to independently assess, diagnose, treat, prescribe, and provide expert advice to patients through face-to-face consultations, delivering evidence-based care that is safe, effective, and patient-centred. The role includes responsibility for:

• Delivering undifferentiated patient care during morning and afternoon clinical sessions.
• Providing timely follow-up of patients and responding appropriately to ongoing case management requirements.
• Practising autonomously within professional competence, adhering to current NICE guidance, national standards, and best practice.
• Managing complex patient cases, ensuring appropriate clinical pathways are followed and tailored to meet the needs of both patients and the service.
• Independently prescribing medications within scope of practice, ensuring safe, evidence-based prescribing in accordance with current legislation and professional standards.
  
  As an ANP, you will lead on delivering undifferentiated primary care to a varied patient population, working independently but with access to clinical support from the practice team. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in clinical assessment, decision-making, and prescribing, with a commitment to upholding the standards of care and safety expected by Gateshead Healthcare.
