Full Job Description

We're looking for a friendly, motivated, and passionate Band 7 Advanced Nurse Practitioner to come and join our well-established Adult Community Mental Health Team based in Skipton -- a beautiful rural market town often known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.

This is a really rewarding role, working across a wide and varied patch that includes both town and countryside communities. You'll be supporting people with severe and enduring mental health needs through assessment, formulation, care planning, risk management, and prescribing.

What really makes this role special is the team you'll be joining. We are a warm, welcoming, and highly experienced group who pride ourselves on supporting one another. There's a strong sense of community here -- both within the team and across the area we serve -- and we work closely together to provide the best possible care.

We offer a supportive environment where your development genuinely matters, with opportunities to grow, learn, and progress in your career.

Above all, this role is about making a difference -- walking alongside people during some of their most difficult times, while helping them build confidence, resilience, and move toward becoming the best version of themselves, Carry out physical checks prior to the prescribing, initiation and monitoring of medication, and also other medication where necessary. To work with other members of the team to manage and monitor the complex presentations within Craven CMHT.

To prescribe medication within nice guidance, NMC guidance and Local trust policies

To work in partnership with service users, families, and carers to achieve identified goals and to support recovery and reintegration by adopting a fully holistic approach to needs.

To work in a supported autonomous manner and to be able to plan and prioritise workload.

To demonstrate effective networking skills to work in collaboration with a range of other services and external agencies.

To actively participate in the flexible formats of team supervision and support.

To work as part of the leadership team, providing support and cover for team leader when required.

Everything we do is underpinned by our core values: -

We Care - We act with respect and empathy, and always value difference

We Listen - We understand people's views and respond to their individual needs

We will consider a variety of flexible working arrangements to enable staff to balance their work and home lives and support staff by offering a fantastic range of benefits including :

Increase mileage rates for > 3500

A wide range of health and wellbeing support packages

A range of internal and external development and learning opportunities

Plus many more.

We are also proud to pledge our support to the Armed Forces and hold a Bronze Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.

BDCFT is dedicated to environmental and social sustainability by delivering on the commitments within our Green Plan. All staff are actively encouraged and supported to participate in training and to identify and implement sustainable quality improvement across all service areas and activities.
