Advanced Group Work Recovery Coordinator

We are recruiting an Advanced Group Work Recovery Coordinator to work within our Ashton service. Our ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to assess and engage with people who use our service, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. Where: Ashton Hours: Part Time. 18.5 hrs per week Contract: Fixed Term unitl the 31st of March 2027 Responsibilities: About the role:

• To support in the development of and the facilitation of the ADVANCE perpetrator group work programme.
• To provide substance misuse and harm minimisation advice and support to staff and service users.
• Ensure robust pathways are maintained between My Recovery Tameside and Bridges Domestic abuse service.
• Be able to use the service case management system to accurately record group work attendance and engagement.
• Liaise with the Recovery Coordinators to ensure risk management and the sharing of information.
  
  Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour
• Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
• Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
• Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
• Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
• Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
• Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
• Be willing to undertake the Advance training programme with Kings College London.
