Full Job Description
A vacancy has arisen for a full time Advanced Electrical Tradesperson at PD Ports within the Engineering Department at Hartlepool. You will be working as part of a problem-solving Engineering team who are responsible for the preventative maintenance/inspection, fault-finding and repair of the port's crane and mobile plant assets.
- Responding to breakdowns and failures using problem solving techniques to return equipment back into service with minimum delay
- Maintenance of Harbour mobile cranes, mobile plant and equipment used in a busy dock operation.
- Knowledge of PLC controlled AC and DC drives, Electrical Systems Regulations would be an advantage. We are seeking someone who:
- Has 5+ years' experience working in heavy industry following completion of a formal technical apprenticeship (essential) and experience in the port environment would be desirable.
- Possesses exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage your workload and supervise others when required.
- Qualified to ONC / Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum - HNC/HND would be preferred (essential).
- Can demonstrate analytical skills to be able to interrogate, analyse and evaluate previous/ current repair information.
