Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Annex 21) (Day and Out of Hours)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and dynamic advanced clinical practitioner team within Neath Port Talbot Hospital. NPTH specialises in stroke, rehabilitation and various surgical specialities including an expanding orthopaedic centre of excellence. We are looking for someone who wants to work as a team to ensure we continue to develop and excel the nurse practitioner role.

The role will be predominately based in NPTH out of hours but there may be times when the post holder will be required to cover days Monday - Friday 9am -5pm and cover Singleton Hospital site., Provide clinical assessment using advanced knowledge and clinical skills, to provide diagnoses both differentiated and undifferentiated patients, and develop management plans for optimal care. This will include clinical skills such as venepuncture, cannulation, catheterisation and blood gas analysis.

Effectively manages organisational functions and resources within the hospital out of hours.

Participate in research related to area of practice provide and education/mentorship to a multi-professional audience within the University Health Board.

Provides specialist education and training to other staff, students, patients and carers.
