Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic Trained ACPs to work within north Derbyshire covering both inpatient areas and community support beds., The role will supports a core team of ACPs across the three areas in order to provide a model of seven day service cover, ultimately linking the trainees into a core clinical lead support resource. The GM will be responsible for ensuring that the direction of the service continues. As an ACP you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership, including direct clinical care, and advice on complex issues in the In-patient teams and community support beds.
  • Establish a cohesive team approach for the ACP workforce development
  • Support the service leads and managers with audit, innovation, and performance management
  • Lead on training needs discussions, based on audit findings, supervision outputs and individual staff knowledge gaps
  • Assist in feedback for staff appraisals.
  • Deputise for the GM where necessary, if not being carried out by other members of staff.
  • You will apply advanced clinical expertise, levels of judgement, discretion and decision making to the provision of clinical care to adults . You will exercise a high degree of autonomy through the application of advanced clinical skills in relation to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of adults. You will lead and monitor improvements to quality of care through clinical audit, evidence-based practice, clinical supervision, teaching and supporting professional colleagues and the provision of skilled professional leadership.

    We are seeking highly motivated and experienced nurses or allied health professionals to join our existing team of ACPs. Our vacancy is in the north team at our Buxton, Matlock and clay cross areas. A Band 8a position will be offered to candidates who have already completed an MSc in Advanced Practice and who can demonstrate contemporary experience working at an advanced level within a relevant clinical environment.
