Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our expanding pharmacy team within the Acute and Emergency village at the Aintree site.
You will provide clinical expertise to the Acute and Emergency village, ensuring medication is correct by prescribing for patients at the front door. The Acute and Emergency village includes ED (majors, minors, resus) as well as the Acute Medical Unit and Ambulatory Care. Aintree is a designated Major Trauma Centre and Stroke Emergency Assessment Centre for the region. This role will involve working closely with the Advanced Clinical Pharmacists in these and other specialties.
You will be supported by a Lead Clinical Pharmacist, and be part of a dedicated group of pharmacists and technical staff working across all areas of the Acute and Emergency Village. There will be opportunities to support the delivery of a consistent, high-quality, evidence-based pharmacy service as we seek to constantly improve the service we provide.
This roles require substantial hospital pharmacy experience, with specific experience in the Acute and Emergency setting. The role will deputise for the Lead Clinical Pharmacist, so the ability to structure team workflows, support staff development, and contribute to ongoing service planning at both site and Trust level will be required. You will bring advanced clinical knowledge, strong leadership capability, and a commitment to driving excellence., Assist the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for Acute and Emergency in the development of pharmacy services and medicines management within the Acute and Emergency village.
To provide a safe and effective advanced clinical pharmacy service to the Acute and Emergency village.
Assist the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for Acute and Emergency in providing clinical training and supervision, relevant to the service, for other departmental staff.
Provide non-medical prescribing services to patients in the Acute and Emergency village.
To work with the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for Acute and Emergency in delivering the key responsibilities.
With support from the Lead Divisional and Clinical Pharmacists audit, monitor and develop medicines management within your speciality.
You will becollaborative, forward-thinking, and passionate about delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care . You'll bring innovation and leadership to the role, with a strong commitment tomedicines optimisation and service improvement for acutely unwell patients.
